Autism auditory preferences sorting activity.

Many students with autism have sensory processing dificulties. Students may be hyper and / or hypo sensitive to a variety of sounds.
This sorting activity allows individual students to create a "visual support" which shows their own auditory preferences.

All the graphics used in our resources have been produced by my daughter. They are designed to appeal to a wide age range, as we know how difficult it can be to find suitable resources for teens.

As some people with autism can be overloaded by too much visual input, my resources have been designed with clear layout and plain backgrounds.
Given an auditory sensory preference board of sounds that frighten/can cope with, STUDENT will sort picture cards into the category in which he/she feels the sound belongs based upon predicted or past responses to the situation in 80% of possible choices, by MONTH, YEAR.
This item is recommended for the following grade levels:

PreK, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade, 8th Grade, 9th Grade, 10th Grade, 11th Grade, 12th Grade
