Autism: FOLLOWING VISUAL DIRECTIONS Addition Worksheets for NON-READERS Special Education/Autism/ELL

This is a PRINT AND GO set of 35 worksheets ready to download and begin successful independent work task completion with your students! You won't believe your eyes, as this worksheet set produces remarkable results by providing visual directions for our kids with autism! Complete with visual cue cards to teach your students what the symbols mean, this activity is perfect BOTH readers AND non-readers! In the PREVIEW, please read the email I received from a First Grade General Education teacher regarding an autism inclusion student whom we both share!!! Your students will INDEPENDENTLY add three whole numbers to equal sums up to 20 all by themselves! As always, I have included a data sheet listing the CCSS and Target Skill. This activity aligns with the following standard:

CCSS.Math.Content.1.OA.A2:
Solve word problems that call for addition of three whole numbers whose sum is less than or equal to 20, by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.

TARGET SKILL: To complete an academic work task by independently following a set of visual directions.

SUGGESTED IEP GOAL:
Given pre-taught strategies and three sets of visuals of objects to count to find the total sum up to 20, STUDENT will independently count and add to determine the correct answer with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 consecutive opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.

Thank you for your continued support for autism awareness and research. **AS ALWAYS, A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF THIS PRODUCT WILL BE DONATED**
