Let's "Go to Great Lengths" to celebrate the 100th Day of School! Perfect for 2nd grade students, ELL or students with Autism. Your students will love working in small groups and going on a measuring journey around the classroom! You may even extend this activity to work with another class or measure items found around the school. There are 7 measurement items per sheet (15 recording sheets). This activity meets the Common Core standards for: MEASURE AND ESTIMATE LENGTHS IN STANDARD UNITS 2:14. MD:01 Measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes.
Suggested IEP GOAL Alignment:
Given measuring tools, a variety of measurable objects, and data recording sheet, STUDENT will correctly measure and record each measurement, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
