SNOWMAN MORE OR LESS COUNTING

Suggested IEP Goal: Given two sets of numbers to count, STUDENT will determine which set has more or less, by saying, pointing to, or writing the number, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.

Given two pictures containing two sets of objects, STUDENT will estimate which set has more/less (without counting), and responding by saying “more”/”less” or pointing, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.

How To Implement In Your Classroom: Make your own snowman out of construction paper, print a template, or purchase one from the Dollar Store, as I have done. Students love the winter theme or counting snowballs, all while working on a difficult concept of “more” or “less”.

Use as a holiday or monthly math center activity, along with our Touch Point Addition to 18 WINTER Theme “Task Box Filler” task cards!

Enjoy with your students…and Happy Holidays!
