Do your students struggle to be good sports in games and activities? Do they argue with teammates and get upset if they lose or do not get their way?
Many of my students need to work on being a good sport. This is something we talk about A LOT. I wrote these checklists to help my students better understand what it means to be a good sport and why it is important.
These handy checklists can be used to help your students understand the concept of being a good sport and what that means. Use the "Are You A Good Sport?" checklist before playing a game, and the "Were You A Good Sport?" checklist, after playing. Children can see how many checks the have and compare their answers from before and after. Laminate the colored checklists and use a dry erase marker to use the list again and again or use as a visual. Use the low color or black and white checklists for students to write on.
