Special Education Life Skills Bundle of Activities For Teens and Young Adults
A new life skills task card set "Is It FREE or DO I NEED TO PAY" for independent work tasks for middle school, high school, and teens with autism and special learning needs.

An excellent activity for middle school, high school, and teens, as they begin to venture out on their own, or with friends. The temptation of candy bar openly sitting in a bin or on a shelf, or even a magazine that may have a teen’s favorite performer on the front cover, can be enticing enough to just “take it”. This independent “Task Box Filler” shows items that are free, and those that need to be paid for. Introduce this activity by explaining that the key vocabulary words of “free”, “take one”, and other word indicators that let the student know the item is free, or if he/she must pay for it.

This independent work basket set contains 40 task cards and 40 response cards (“Pay For It” and “Do Not Pay”). This set also comes with a label to velcro or tape onto the clear work bin. I use velcro so I can switch tasks frequently for my students to complete independently.

I DO USE velcro on each task card, but students can also mark with a dry erase marker (“X”), or clip with a clothespin or large paper clip! QUICK and EASY to put together and place in a basket work task bin!

WHAT’S INCLUDED:
• 40 Task Cards showing items that free or need to be paid for
• 20 PAY FOR IT response cards
• 20 DO NOT PAY response cards
• Suggested IEP Goal for Special Education students
• Print this entire activity on white card stock paper and laminate.
