Listening Comprehension: Interactive Build-A-Books & Drawing Scenes
Following directions with these activities will keep students engaged and working! It can be difficult to assess a child's receptive language when they simply refuse to follow directions and participate. These hands on, interactive activities don't feel like work and are perfect for non-verbal children as well.

Each book includes 3 pages, with each turn of the page requiring more pieces to complete the picture. This enables you to cover a broad spectrum of students and needs.
Use the books to work on vocabulary, categories (body parts, colors, etc), and positional concepts on their own or incorporated with directions.
Each book contains a sample directions page including 1-4 step directions.
These interactive books are geared towards PreK - First grade.
Drawing Scenes:
Pirate Island
Carnival
Christmas

The scenes are in black and white to be used as a coloring/drawing page. Each scene includes a page with 1-4 step directions to use with the scene. The directions target completing missing parts in the scene as well as coloring (E.g. Draw an orange fish in the fishbowl and then an arm on the bear.)
These drawing scenes are appropriate for all ages.
Given visuals and a set of directions with varying complexity, STUDENT will follow the directions to complete the task (form a picture), with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
