This is SET 2 of the SIGHT WORDS Task Cards with KEY DETAILS WITHIN TEXT “Task Box Filler” for students with autism and special needs.

This “Task Box Filler” set uses the second set of 52 sight words contained in the Dolch word list (Primer). This is perfect for BOTH readers AND non-readers alike, as each task card contains a highlighted word for students to locate within up to three lines of easy reader text. Non-readers will be focused on finding the letter sequence, or matching word to word. Readers will be see familiar text, as the passages contain sight words from this list, as well as nouns.

Simple set up, just print, laminate task cards and provide a thin, dry erase marker for your students to highlight each sight word.

SUGGESTED IEP GOALS For Special Education Students:

Given a reading passage containing up to three instructional level sentences and a word to locate and highlight within the text as part of an independent work task, STUDENT will highlight or mark each word with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.

Given a sight word (high frequency word) to locate within two to three lines of text as part of an independent work task, STUDENT will highlight or mark the word with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
