Autism Language and Writing Skills “WH” Questions about PEOPLE and PLACES with IEP Goals and Data!

I am so very excited to introduce this brand new activity for speech/language, communication, vocabulary and writing development! I began using this activity in my classroom just two weeks ago (I always do this before listing any product to make sure it is just as effective as I believed it would be) and my kids LOVE it! They are having so much fun “opening” doors and talking about what they see, who they see, and what is happening! Their vocabulary is improving (from one little guys’ “airplane man” to “pilot”), they are associating people and things with specific places, ASKING ME if they can write and draw about it, and, yes there are some giggles in between as they/we place a toy fire truck at the fire station, or have a crawling baby answer the front door! Isn’t learning supposed to be fun? YES! This activity will certainly achieve that! This engaging activity is suitable from K-12 Special Education classrooms. Depending upon the skill level of the student, you can provide accommodations by limiting the number of questions or responses, allow the student to type responses, or use a voice out-put device.
