This Inauguration Day Mini Unit is a great addition to your classroom. It consists of an 8-page book with related activities.

This unit is designed for students with intellectual disabilities and autism but can be used in general education elementary grades or ELL.

This unit has two books. The first book is an 8-page text, and the second is a 3-page text. Each book has three different levels. Level 1 of the text contains pictures over text.

The main book has an assessment/comprehension test in 4 different levels. It also includes 5 activities to teach vocabulary, fill in the blanks, answer wh-questions, and more.

Each activity has multiple levels of support (color-coded, cut and paste, write-in). This unit provides opportunities for repetition in the classroom, which is essential for students with intellectual disabilities, as well as the use of visuals.

Activities included:

Vocabulary match and definitions, vocabulary diagram, fill in the blanks, wh-questions, and a word search.

Given a leveled informational (non-fiction) passage to read containing up to eight paragraphs, STUDENT will demonstrate comprehension by completing a set of activities which includes responding to "wh" questions, vocabulary, and fill-in-the-blank sentences, within a given time period (1 week, 6 weeks, end of IEP date), with 80% accuracy by the end of the given period.
