Decomposing Numbers Task Cards

WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH THIS SET?

There are 40 task cards, along with a storage bin/basket label and suggested IEP Goals which this activity focuses on. This task card set uses sums up to 20 to decompose numbers within an addition problem. This can be a challenging concept for students with special learning needs. The familiar visuals will help our kids with this skill.

IS THIS TASK CARD SET EASY TO SET UP?

Yes, it sure is! Just print on white card stock paper for durability and laminate. Use a thin dry erase marker to bubble in responses. Easy to erase, too!

HOW DO I STORE THIS TASK CARD SET?

I use a clear shoe box bin for this, and actually ALL of my "Task Box Filler" sets. The bins store easily in your classroom cubbies, shelves, or even stack on top of a table or shelf.

DOES THE TASK CARD SET COME WITH SUGGESTED IEP GOALS?

Yes! Here they are:

(1.) Given an addition problem with sums up to 20, STUDENT will (independently/with visual prompts/with verbal and visual prompts) count the two groups of objects in order to determine the total of each set and decompose the sum, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.

(2.) Given two groups of objects to count, STUDENT will (independently/with visual prompts/with verbal and visual prompts) write each total number of objects counted, in order to decompose the sum, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.

DO YOU HAVE A SELECTION OF “Task Box Fillers”?

CAN I SHARE THIS TASK CARD SET WITH OTHER TEACHERS?
