More details

Time Task Cards for A.M. or P.M. with visual support “Task Box Filler” is for autism, or a special education math resource.

This telling time/concepts of time in A.M. or P.M. task card set introduces students to written scenarios with pictures and a choice of time in A.M. or P.M. Using prior knowledge of when that event will most likely occur, the student will choose the correct response by clipping or marking the correct response. This A.M./P.M. “Task Box Filler” task card set can be used at your math center, independent work station, one-on-one instruction, or as a Telling Time intervention resource.

WILL THIS TAKE A LOT OF PREP TIME?

Oh, no! Just print the pages (4 cards to a page), laminate, trim. NO VELCRO REQUIRED! Just use a thin dry erase marker, OR a clothespin to mark each response.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

· 50 Task Cards for understanding when an event may occur using A.M. or P.M.

· 1 Time Chart for Visual Reference

· Suggested IEP Goals for Special Education students

· Print this entire activity on white card stock paper and laminate for durability that will last many years.

HOW WILL THIS “TASK BOX FILLER” SET HELP MY STUDENTS PROGRESS WITH THEIR IEP GOALS?

Concepts of time can be challenging for children to understand, especially A.M. or P.M. Sure, students may know if an event has happened in the morning, after school, in the afternoon, before breakfast, or evening. Using the Latin terms of A.M. or P.M., can be confusing. This “Task Box Filler” set comes with a Time Chart Picture/Time Guide showing some activities that may occur during specific times of day. Please note: SYMBOLS ARE USED TO SHOW MORNING, AFTERNOON, AND NIGHT. Although Daylight Savings Time and location may affect if it is light or dark out during certain times of the day, general rules of times were used for this activity.

SUGGESTED IEP GOALS For Special Education Students:

Given a picture and/or written scenario representing an event or routine associated with a non-specific time (morning/afternoon/night), STUDENT will choose the correct A.M. or P.M. response, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.

DO YOU HAVE A SELECTION OF “Task Box Fillers” THAT I CAN CHOOSE FROM?

Yes! There are more than 100 sets available, which include, math, reading, fine motor, social skills, science, social studies and life skills!

CAN I SHARE THIS TASK CARD SET WITH OTHER TEACHERS?

None of our activities can be shared with other staff members due to copyright laws and licensing rules. You CAN suggest that they purchase their very own set, or you may purchase an additional license for them.
