It’s that time of the year when Autumn leaves turn color and it’s all about Halloween! Turn the Fall spooky holiday into some learning fun with interactive candy corn math activity centers! Focusing on Counting and Cardinality and aligned with state mathematics standards, your students will enjoy counting, adding, subtracting, sequencing by size or pattern, counting with ten frame, and practicing number recognition. As Halloween approaches, what better way to celebrate the season than by mastering math skills with yummy candy corn? Here are the Candy Corn Math Center Activities that are included:
1. Count “how many?”: Groups of candy corn in a line, array, or group to count up to 10 for one-to-one correspondence. This set contains 20 task cards.
2. Number Recognition: Halloween candy corn displays each number from 0-10. This set contains 11 task cards (0-10).
3. Vertical Addition with Sums Up to 10: Add two single digit numbers with sums up to 10 to aid math fact fluency. This set contains 54 Addition Candy Corn cards.
4. Vertical Single-Digit Subtraction: Subtract to determine the difference. This set contains 54 Subtraction Candy Corn Cards.
5. Ten Frame Counting: Count up to 10 with a candy corn ten frame. This set contains 10 task cards.
6. Sequencing by Size or Pattern: Student may sequence two kinds of candy corn to form simple patterns (AB, ABB, AAB) or by size. There are two sets of two types of candy corn to print as many as you need.
