Friends in Need Meals to Go Program is a task to introduce a volunteer opportunity within the community.

This task involves filling meal orders using visual/written task cards for a guide. To enhance task and add a great life skill, students will read driving direction cards to see where the person receiving meal lives and matches the person cards on to the map visual.

This task works well for visual discrimination, following directions, word to object recognition, and as a community service unit reinforcement task.

Included in task is a visual to make 8 copies of plate, 28 different food items, map visual, 8 meal order cards, 8 driving direction cards, 8 people cards, and a directions and credits page.
Given a life skills sorting work task related to filling a meal order, STUDENT will read the order cards and fill each plate with the correct items, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.

Given a life skills work task related to locating the correct delivery address, STUDENT will read the direction card and point to or mark the correct delivery location on a street map, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
