Last Day of School Social Story with OKAY/NOT Okay File Folder Activity {Autism}:

Based upon the popular “Okay/NOT Okay” social stories and file folder activities, here is our brand new “Okay/NOT Okay To Do On The Last Day Of School” social story and file folder activity! Our special needs kids may express many emotions when changes in their daily schedules occur. To help ease the anxiety or negative emotions that some children may feel, this activity can be used from now until the last day of school. To make it extra meaningful, I will include up to 3 additional written pages with this purchase providing room for you to place a photo of your school, classroom assistants, special buddies group, or anything that you would like that relates to your classroom. This product is intended as an activity for the teacher to use during the last few weeks of school to prepare your students for a change in routine.  The “Okay/NOT Okay To Do On The Last Day Of School” social story contains 13 pages addressing topics such as:

*nice ways to say goodbye to the teacher
*expected behavior
* following directions even though it is the end of school
*class parties or celebrations
* feelings of anger and sadness related to the last day of school
* signing a yearbook or memory book
*how to dress on the last day of school
* how to say goodbye to classmates

* how to walk down the hallway when the final bell rings

This set is appropriate for elementary school age students with autism or special needs.

IEP GOAL ALIGNMENT:
Given a social story and follow-up activity containing scenarios and emotions related to a change in routine (ex. last day of school), STUDENT will place the picture answer cards in the correct categories (okay/not okay) in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
