This Independent Learning Packet for Special Education has reading passages with "wh" questions related to procedures for Back To School 2020-21 due to the current health crisis. This is a life skills reading comprehension learning packet with multiple scenarios for new experiences a student may encounter upon returning to school. This set does focus on Covid-19, just the changes that the student in each story must adapt to. Easy-to-track data is included for the teacher, parent, or caregiver to complete for IEP goal monitoring.
This Independent Learning Packet for Special Education focuses on reading skills intertwined with new rules and procedures that some students may experience upon their return to school. This reading comprehension independent worksheet packet encourages students to read and respond to four multiple choice “wh” questions. One of the questions is the rules that the person in the reading passage must follow due to Covid 19.

These worksheets include:
: I will seat in the seat by myself (related to school bus).
: Our desks will be 6 feet apart.
: Come to school well rested.
: We can walk about 6 feet apart.
: I can use my own school supplies.
: I can put on a mask or face covering.
: It is okay if an adult takes my temperature at school.
: I will wash my hands often.
: I can only eat the food I bring or buy.

· Student will read and use the pictures provided to answer “Wh” questions. This worksheet set is a PRINT and GO activity with NO ASSEMBLY NEEDED. It helps students remain engaged and focused on an academic task for a longer period of time.
· SUGGESTED IEP GOALS to align with your students’ learning needs.
(1.) Given a picture and a short reading passage related to an event or situation which requires a change in routine or rules, STUDENT will determine which rule applies to the situation, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
(2.) Given a picture and adapted grade level passage, STUDENT will read the passage in order to select the correct response to four “WH” questions, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
(3.) Given a picture and an adapted grade level reading passage related to an event or situation which requires a change in routine or rules, STUDENT will determine which rule best applies, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
