Absolutely! Here are suggested IEP Goals that may be aligned with this activity:
1. Given objects to aid in solving a subtraction word problem with minuends no greater than 10, STUDENT will count and “take away” to determine the difference, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
2. Given a subtraction word problem read aloud by an adult (teacher/therapist/assistant), STUDENT will write the minuend, subtrahend, and difference in order to solve the problem, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 trials, by MONTH, YEAR.
