Learning beginning letter sounds is a key element in students developing reading skills. With CVC nouns and familiar pictures of objects, your students can work on IEP goals targeting beginning readers. This interactive beginning letter sound in CVC nouns activity, will help students to focus on the task box with success!

WILL THIS TAKE A LOT OF PREP TIME?

Oh, no! Just print the pages, laminate, and trim. You can add a circle Velcro dot to the center of each blank square on the task card. Place a matching hard-side Velcro to the matching beginning letter card.

HOW WILL THIS HELP MY STUDENTS LEARN TO READ?

Being fluent in letter sounds will benefit students who are beginning readers in Kindergarten, First Grade, or are accessing similar grade level tasks.

SUGGESTED IEP GOALS For Special Education Students:

1. Given a picture and a c-v-c word with the first letter of the word (beginning sound) omitted, STUDENT will phonetically sound out each letter sound to blend the word, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
