Beginning Sounds for 3 Letter Words Clip Cards is designed to help students learn to listen for the sounds at the beginning of words. This not only reinforces their phonetic skills but also helps them learn to read the word and how it is spelled.

Each card has 3 choices for the beginning letter and there is a picture clue to help the student read the word. Students can use a paper clip or wooden clip to choose their answer. To make the activity self-correcting - on the backside of the paper make a mark under the correct letter.

There are 84 cards! This would make a great center or an activity for kids who get their work done early.
Given a picture of an object and a three letter word with the first letter omitted, along with a choice of three possible letter sounds, STUDENT will say the word aloud in order to determine the beginning letter sound by clipping/writing/saying the letter and sound/pointing to the letter/using voice output device to state letter sound, with 80% accuracy with a ten card task, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
