More details

Two Idiom activity books with three learning levels of visual supports containing eight commonly heard idioms, using pictures, picture word definitions, and written definition response cards. The definitions presents a clear, visual way for students with autism to understand the meaning of each idiom!

Each idiom is shown on the page as a student with autism might imagine it to be. Then, depending on each student’s learning needs, I have included three answer choice response cards, picture with idiom, picture representing what the idiom means (visual definition along with an example), and a written kid-friendly definition.

Commonly heard IDIOMS represented are:

* Couch potato
* Put a sock in it!
* Hold your horses!
* Over the moon
* It’s raining cats and dogs!
* Reach for the stars.
* Straight from the horse’s mouth
* Keep your head above water
* Don’t cry over spilled milk.
* Time flies.
* Bite your tongue!
* Have your cake and eat it, too.
* Draw the line.
* Hit the road.
* Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

Note: Print three Mounting Boards for each Idiom book if you are using all three levels.
