Is it REAL or NOT REAL Task Cards for Independent Work Task Baskets for students with autism and special learning needs.

An excellent activity to encourage language development and independent work skills. “Is it real or not real?” Many children have a difficult time distinguishing things that are real or not real. My students often need help understanding that characters or some types of toys, are not the “real” thing. This activity asks a question related to the picture…”Is this real…?” and also includes a matching picture and question which DOES show the “real” thing. This activity allows your students to independently decide which is “real” and “not real”. Your students will match, clip, mark with a dry erase marker, point to, say, or show on a voice output device, while having feeling proud that they can complete this activity successfully on their own.

This independent work basket set contains 40 task cards and 40 response cards. This set also comes with a label to velcro or tape onto the clear work bin. I use velcro so I can switch tasks frequently for my students to complete independently.

I DO USE velcro on each task card, but students can also mark with a dry erase marker (“X”), or clip with a clothespin or large paper clip! QUICK and EASY to put together and place in a basket work task bin!

WHAT’S INCLUDED:
• 40 Task Cards asking “Is this real…?”/”Is this _____ not real?”
• 40 REAL/NOT REAL response cards
• Suggested IEP Goal for Special Education students
• Print this entire activity on white card stock paper and laminate.
