(1.) Given a choice of two picture topic prompts which may include people, places, and/or objects, STUDENT will generate an idea for writing ___(# of) sentences by writing about a topic using key details, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
(2.) Given a choice of two picture topic prompts which may include people, places, and/or objects in order to generate an idea for writing a story, STUDENT will choose one topic and verbally provide up to four details, predictions, or opinions related to the topic, to organize thoughts and ideas to compose sentences, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
(3.) Given a picture and a “picture walk-through” led by an adult or peer, STUDENT will reveal real or presumed details about the picture based upon observation, prior knowledge, or personal experiences, in order to write up to ____(number of) on topic sentences, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
EXPANDING AN IEP GOAL FOR SKILL PROGRESSION:
(4.) Given two picture topic prompts which may include people, places, and/or objects to aid in independently generating ideas to compose on-topic sentences, STUDENT will compare the people, places, or objects by writing descriptive on-topic sentences, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
