TYPES OF WEATHER Forecast Task Cards “Task Box Filler Activities” for Autism
This Task Card “Task Box Filler” set is perfect for differentiation in our Special Education classrooms! For non-readers with language based IEP Goals, the student will look at the city/day of week and match the “cell phone” forecast! Four our kids who are learning to read, or are well on their way, additional forecast information is provided such as, weather, current temperature, hi/lo temperatures of the day, percentage chance of rain and wind. Use as a “Task Box Filler” for independent work, or as an instructional learning tool!

This activity is the perfect independent work task center, or can be used for individual instruction to gather data for IEP goals.
Pictures and IEP Goal are included with this activity for simple set up and to align with your student’s IEP Goals.

SUGGESTED IEP GOALS:
Given a picture with the location (city) and day of the week, STUDENT will use this information to match the correct weather forecast, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
Given a picture with the location (city) and day of the week, STUDENT will locate the matching weather forecast and describe the picture using a weather vocabulary term (ex. tornado, sunny, snow) with a complete verbal or written sentence, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
Given a life skills supervised work task (determine the weather forecast), STUDENT will read/listen to the forecast and state what type of clothing or accessory they will wear or need, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
