Story Sequencing with Pictures and Text BEGINNING READERS with DATA/IEP Goals for Autism and Special Education
There are 25 story cards along with 25 sequencing cards for each story. The "stories" contain up to 5 lines of text. The sequencing boards restate what the student has just read, but with varying details. Each story card emphasizes the important parts of the "story" by using images in color. The background or characters/objects that are not of significance are outlined, or black and white. Using sight words and repetition of text, your students will beam as they are able to read and complete the task! This activity is perfect for Language or Reading Center, independent work tasks, working with the classroom assistant, or for more complex learners, one-on-one with the teacher. SIMPLE to assemble! Print, laminate, add some velcro, and attach each story and card with binder rings for easy storage and usage!
SUGGESTED IEP GOAL ALIGNMENT:
Given a reading passage of up to 5 short sentences containing repetitive text and and Pre-Primer/Primer sight words, STUDENT will sequence the picture events as first, next, and last, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 reading opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
