This 65 page set of reading comprehension Read, Mark, and Color worksheets teaches beginning readers to recognize sight words and easy text. Remaining focused on an academic task can be hard for some of our kids. By allowing them the opportunity to color AND read, our students have a higher success rate. Each page contains room for document data for word count, fluency, choosing the correct answer to the two questions, and coloring (fine motor) skills. The use of repetitive answer choices helps the beginner reader in retaining learned information. Perfect to use as homework practice, too! Parents enjoy becoming involved in the data process and it's always important to see what a student does at home, and compare that to their performance at school.
SUGGESTED IEP GOAL ALIGNMENT:
By MONTH, YEAR, given up to five short sentences containing high frequency words and a picture related to the text, STUDENT will read and correctly respond to two questions by marking the answer with support when needed, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 opportunities.
