WHAT EXACTLY IS A “REVIEW PACKET FOR IEP GOALS”?

Each review packet contains “uncluttered” (less cutesy, distraction free) printables that are aligned with academic or social-emotional state standards. The skill sets are, in most instances, adapted to fit the learning needs of special education students. The Review Packets for IEP Goals are designed to encourage independent work practice for those who can, and additional support for those students who may need it. WHAT AGE OR GRADE LEVEL WOULD YOU SUGGEST THIS WORKSHEET PACKET FOR?

Although this IEP goal review packet is aligned with early elementary (K-2) Language Arts standards, it may support any learner who is currently being taught to read a complete sentence with fluency and meaning, or early readers who can identify sight words (high frequency words) for the K-1 grade level. As we know, our children all learn at their own pace and this resource is adaptable for students who need a higher level of reading support.

HOW WILL THIS IEP GOAL REVIEW PACKET HELP MY STUDENT/CHILD?

This packet provides extra practice to supplement classroom or homeschool lessons, summer/school break review to prevent academic regression, independent work to support inclusion, reading resource, or early intervention.

DOES THE IEP GOAL REVIEW PACKET COME WITH IEP GOALS?

YES! Here are suggested IEP goals which align with this packet:

READING

· Given a reading passage which includes up to 4 “silly sentences” that include CVC words, related to the same word family, STUDENT will read the sentences with fluency at a rate of 30 words per minute with 80% accuracy, within a 6 week period, as documented by teacher observation.


FINE MOTOR

· Given up to 3 CVC words to copy, STUDENT will write the words with correct letter formation and proper alignment, maintaining the letters remain on the line, with 80% accuracy, as documented by work samples, by (end of IEP period).


LANGUAGE AND SPEECH

· Given sentences to read which include previously taught CVC words and sight words, STUDENT will read aloud to demonstrate fluency and accuracy, within a ___ week period, as documented by teacher/therapist.
